Passenger Vehicle Lighting Expert, Injection Moulding

Lumax Industries is seeking an Expert – Injection Moulding to advise them on the following:

• Achieve Sustained Low Rejection Levels in IMM: Build robust moulding processes, multicolour and critical-part expertise, and NDC practices to consistently maintain IMM rejection below 0.8%.

  
  

• Improve IMM Machine Uptime and Operational Excellence: Strengthen mould, machine, and process discipline to achieve consistent IMM OEE above 85%, ensuring stable and predictable production performance.

  
  

• Enable Smooth NPD Mould Launches and Centre of Excellence (COE) in IMM: Develop standardized systems, QA networks, and expert capabilities to ensure seamless launch of new moulds and establish a strong IMM Centre of Excellence supporting first-time-right outcomes.

Key Responsibilities of this person include:

1. Provide guidance to drive process improvements in Injection Moulding (IMM) to achieve and maintain less than 0.8% rejection rate, focusing on design learnings, e-component validation, and defect reduction.

   
   

2. Advise the team on how to ensure consistent IMM machine performance with OEE >85% by strengthening process control, minimizing manual interventions, and improving escalation protocols for machine or quality issues.

   
   

3. Help develop and implement robust systems for smooth NPD mould launches and COE in IMM section, including multicolour/critical parts moulding, defect-free condition establishment, QA network integration, and process standardization.

   
   

4. Provide technical advice in moulding expertise, guiding teams on multicolour moulding, process optimization, and preventive measures to reduce internal rejections.
