Role Description

The hiring organization is a private investment fund that partners with ambitious founders to build enduring businesses. Currently, the fund is conducting due diligence on a target company that helps pharmaceutical companies identify, validate, and license drug compounds through proprietary AI models, wet-lab capabilities, and real-world data infrastructure.


The initial engagement consists of a 90-minute consultation call (offered at a fee of ₹15,000), to deeply understand market contexts, evaluate technical defenses, and stress-test claims regarding biomedical knowledge graph capabilities, ontology design, and related IP frameworks.


The company is seeking senior engineers, architects, researchers, or industry advisors with production-grade experiencehandling complex biological datasets, automated workflows, and drug discovery informatics. Both commercial and academic backgrounds are highly welcome.


Technical Requirements & Core Competencies:

  • Knowledge Graph Engineering: Hands-on experience building, scaling, or validating large-scale knowledge

    graphs (KG) and/or ontologies, ideally within a life sciences, clinical, or biomedical context.

  • Biomedical NLP & Reasoning: Familiarity with biomedical natural language processing (NLP), entity

    resolution, text mining, and graph-based reasoning techniques.

  • IP and Patent Law Awareness: Deep understanding of how intellectual property/patents are structured for AI

    methods, with a definitive plus for legal awareness surrounding the Alice/Mayo doctrine.

  • Industry Benchmarking: Familiarity with standard commercial biological databases and life sciences graphs

    like Elsevier (Embase/Reaxys) or Clarivate (Cortellis), as well as major public repositories.


Relevant expertise areas: Biomedical AI, Knowledge Graph Engineering, Ontology Design, NLP in Life Sciences, IP/patents in AI, and Drug Discovery Informatics.

This is a one-time, 90-minute expert consultation conducted on a fully remote basis. Process: An initial 15 to 20-minute unpaid screening call will be conducted by the team. Paid Call: If the client determines a strong mutual fit and clear value alignment during the screening, they will officially proceed to schedule the deep-dive, paid 90-minute expert consultation (compensated at upto INR 15,000).
