Role Description

Our client is conducting due diligence on a company that designs and manufactures power electronics solutions, including controllers, inverters, and motors for distributed renewable energy applications.


The engagement aims to evaluate:

  • Market landscape and competitive dynamics around these products.

  • The initial engagement consists of a 90-minute consultation call with expert to evaluate whether the claims a company is making about its power electronics capabilities are credible and whether they constitute a strong moat that will enable them to capture market share in this space.

Experience & Skills Required

Technology Consulting

1. Strong understanding of: Hybrid Inverters MPPT Controllers Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Battery Management Systems (BMS) Energy Management Systems (EMS) 2. Deep expertise in power electronics for distributed renewable energy applications 3. Knowledge of product design, manufacturing, sourcing, distribution, and go-to-market models 4. Experience evaluating technology capabilities, IP, product differentiation, and scalability 5. Understanding of players with in-house design/manufacturing versus outsourced or partnership-led models
