Role Description

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a current or former VP of Land Acquisition, Director of Land, or Senior Land Acquisition Manager from a top 50 national homebuilder (e.g., Lennar, D.R. Horton, PulteGroup, or similar) to participate in a paid expert consultation for a venture capital client.


Who We're Looking For

  • The person must have direct lived experience evaluating, procuring, and implementing land acquisition software and proptech tools within a large homebuilder organization.

  • Has experience navigating internal approval processes (Greenbook, IT security reviews, and budget approvals), managing vendor relationships, and making build-vs-buy decisions for land sourcing workflows.

  • Has strong understanding of the pain points that drive software evaluations, switching costs from existing tools (e.g., HOPP'R, tax maps, broker networks), realistic sales cycles, and whether organizations consolidate to a single platform or maintain multiple specialized tools across the land acquisition workflow.

  • Compensation will be 200$-350$/hr
