A greenfield development inaugurated in 2013 and located east of Bengaluru, the MASPL facility commenced serial deliveries in 2015 and now delivers more than 120,000 parts and assemblies every month to Europe, North America, and Australia. The facility holds AS9100 Rev D and NADCAP accreditations, alongside prestigious OEM certifications and approvals from industry leaders such as Airbus, Boeing, GE Aviation, and Dassault, as well as several other Tier 1 companies.

Role Description
As a Head of Manufacturing - Helicopter Assembly Engineering, you will lead aerospace assembly engineering activities across multiple global programs. This role carries end-to-end ownership of assembly industrialization, process definition, technical execution, and quality compliance from the bid stage through to serial production.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Industrialization
Lead assembly engineering activities for complex aerospace structures, panels, fuselage assemblies, and composite structures.
Drive complete assembly industrialization for new and ongoing programs across all phases, from initial bidding to full-scale serial production.
Serve as the technical authority for assembly lines covering builds, integrations, kits, and AOG (Aircraft On Ground) deliveries.
Process Engineering & Configuration Management
Define robust assembly processes, perform producibility analyses, and develop technical/work instructions compliant with customer drawings and specifications.
Prepare, validate, and maintain EBOM/MBOM data and manage configuration control aligned with engineering changes.
Oversee special assembly processes, including cold working, hydraulic testing, composite assembly, and PPAP validation.
Business Development & Program Support
Support business development and estimation teams by providing accurate engineering inputs, cycle time calculations, tooling feasibility assessments, and cost-driver evaluations.
Lead engineering data preparation and execution for major global OEMs and platforms (e.g., Airbus, Boeing, Dassault, Sikorsky, Rafale, PC-12, B737, RJAG).
Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
Ensure strict adherence to AS9100 Rev D, customer specifications, and internal Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities, Material Review Board (MRB) inputs, and error-prevention initiatives to drive first-pass yield and overall quality improvements.
Stakeholder Management & Team Leadership
Act as the primary technical interface for customers regarding technical queries, drawing clarifications, and non-conformance resolutions.
Coordinate with suppliers to resolve technical issues, define supply conditions, and verify compliance.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Assembly Engineering team, building technical capability across the department.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Program Management, Quality, Configuration, Planning, and Manufacturing.
Technical & Functional Competencies
Aerospace Assembly: Deep expertise in panels, fuselage structures, composite, and metallic assemblies.
Manufacturing Engineering: Comprehensive knowledge of process planning, tooling feasibility, producibility analysis, GD&T, and customer drawing interpretation.
Automation: Practical experience in the implementation and troubleshooting of Automatic Riveting Machines (ARM).
Quality & Compliance: Strong proficiency in AS9100 Rev D, PPAP, MRB, RCCA, and Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Configuration Management: Proven ability in EBOM/MBOM preparation and engineering change management.
Software Tools: Basic working knowledge of CATIA, SolidWorks, and LabVIEW fundamentals.
*Please Note: The candidate will work on-site at Mahindra, with payroll managed by WisdomCircle. A 5% fee will be deducted from their salary for payroll management.
