Role Description
Polychem Limited is seeking an experienced General Manager – Production to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations and supply chain coordination across multiple contract manufacturing facilities. The role requires a seasoned chemical industry professional with deep expertise in polymer production, production planning, quality systems, vendor management, and commercial acumen.
This leadership position will work closely with the Managing Director to optimize production efficiency, improve profitability, ensure quality compliance, and support new product development while strengthening domestic and international business capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end production planning, supply chain, and contract manufacturing across multiple job-working units.
Coordinate raw material procurement, production scheduling, inventory, and on-time order fulfillment.
Manage contract manufacturers to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
Resolve manufacturing, process, quality, and supply chain issues across partner facilities.
Drive cost optimization, productivity improvements, commercial profitability, and business growth.
Build strong relationships with contract manufacturers and key customers.
Lead new product development and commercialization while supporting business development, international marketing, and technical-commercial customer engagements.
Success Measures:
Ensure seamless coordination from procurement through customer delivery across all contract manufacturing partners.
Deliver consistent product quality, on-time delivery, and cost-efficient operations.
Improve commercial performance and profitability.
Successfully commercialize new products and expand domestic and international business.
Maintain high standards of operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering Diploma in Management or equivalent management qualification preferred Experience: - Polymer or specialty chemical manufacturing with strong knowledge of polymer production processes. - Expertise in managing contract manufacturing/job-working operations. - Experience in production planning, procurement, supply chain, and quality management. - Exposure to new product development, commercialization, and international markets.
