Role Description

Swarn Aayu Foundation is supporting a brain research study led by IIT Bombay and NIMHANS, focused on understanding healthy brain aging in Indian adults and identifying early indicators of cognitive decline.


Who can participate?

  • Adults aged 50+

  • Conversational English

  • Generally healthy, with no history of neurological or psychiatric disorders.


What does participation involve?

  • MRI brain scan + report — completely free

  • EEG

  • Simple cognitive tasks

  • 2 sessions, approximately 2.5–3 hours each

  • Compensation provided for your time

  • Participation is completely voluntary


Your participation can help researchers better understand how the brain ages and contribute to developing better preventive approaches for millions of older adults in India.

Experience & Skills Required

Communication

Participants will receive ₹1,000 for the first visit, which includes the MRI scan and neuropsychological tests, and ₹500 for the second visit, which includes the EEG. Additionally, transportation to and from NIMHANS will be arranged/covered through cab services.
